LFWS stands for Last Fic Writer Standing. If you’re familiar with the LIMS in many icon making comms you know what this is about, but if you’re not this is how it works:

The challenge is composed of rounds. On each round the participants will have to write a story following a general prompt. Participants have a week to write something, so the fics will be short. Usually drabbles or something of the sort. The stories will be submitted to the mods and will be posted anonymously. Then the stories are voted. The voters will select their favorite and least favorite story, and can give reasons for the votes (always with constructive criticism, bashing and voting for yourself are not allowed). After the round of votes, one winner for the round will be announced, and one writer will be eliminated and not continue to the next round. No need to be afraid about not continuing, it is a natural part of the process. This will continue for as many rounds as necessary, until there is only one writer standing, which will be selected the Last Fic Writer Standing.

Hey Maddie
I can't get the code to work to link from my LJ. Can you help?

"Pimping Post" for LFWS

Do you mean the "pimping post" seen above. I copied the information exactly as it was shown on the site set up by the mods. (Its in a little box and shows all the necessary HTML coding and links). It doesn't look like the post above. When you go to your own LJ and hit 'post' you have the choice of posting either a rich text or HTML comment. You have to select the tab that says HTML and then paste the information you copied from the box on the mod's site. Then post it to your LJ. Does that make sense?? The first time I did it I pasted the information under the 'rich text' tab. Bad!! All I got was all the coding and none of the pretty stuff.

Re: "Pimping Post" for LFWS

Got it finally. Mine wasn't showing all the code.

Re: "Pimping Post" for LFWS

Oh good! Glad it worked for you. I'm not so sure I was helping with the above explanation. LOL
